Unintentional exposure to extreme heat greater than 110ºF
Heat exposure or mishandling may compromise the nutritional adequacy and quality of all Kate Farms products. If the product has been exposed to temperatures less than 110ºF for 2 weeks or less, and the packaging is not damaged, it is still safe to consume. If the product has been exposed to temperatures greater than 110ºF for 2 weeks or the packaging appears damaged, do not use and please contact us. We’d be happy to provide a replacement.
Unintentional freezing due to extreme weather
We use shipping practices with the aim that Kate Farms products are not frozen during the shipping process. Sometimes, during transit, our products may be frozen due to exposure to extreme weather conditions. If you believe a Kate Farms product has been frozen during the shipping process due to extreme weather, please check to see if there is any damage to the packaging. If there is no damage to the packaging, frozen and then thawed Kate Farms formulas can still be consumed. Please note that thawed formula may initially appear separated but when shaken should resemble the unfrozen product.
If the product arrives frozen and the packaging appears damaged, or if it still appears separated after thawing and shaking, please contact us, and we’d be happy to provide a replacement.
